The Community Mental Health Service consists of several teams in various bases across Edinburgh.
Access to the service for people who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health is generally via your GP but may be through another health professional. After assessment, your GP can choose to make a written referral into the relevant service and if accepted an appointment will be offered to you, in writing, within 18 weeks.
Appointments may be in an out-patient department, in your GP surgery or sometimes at home, depending on what is required.

We are a primary care service that offers talking therapies to people registered with an East Riding GP. The talking therapies that we offer include guided self-help, cognitive behavioural therapy and counselling to patients with common mental health problems.
We work with people who have anxiety disorders (e.g. OCD, health anxiety, general anxiety, and social anxiety), depression, stress and panic. It is easy to refer and it is not necessary to see the GP prior to referral.

Mindsmatter are the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service which is part of Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust. They are a wellbeing service offering a range of free psychological therapies to people aged 16 and over in Lancashire.
They offer access to a range of brief therapeutic interventions, including courses & workshops, online programmes and face to face therapy, across our localities to support people’s differing emotional needs.

Talking Mental Health Derbyshire offers a range of therapies for people experiencing common psychological difficulties, such as those feeling anxious, low, or depressed.
They are a free and confidential service for young people over 16 and adults, who are registered with a Derbyshire GP. Their trained psychological therapists use talking therapies, such as counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy, to help people move towards recovery.

Somerset Partnership Talking Therapies is part of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies service (IAPT). Our service is available to anyone 18 years and older who lives in the Somerset area or who is registered with a Somerset GP.
We offer Talking Therapies for people experiencing mild to moderate depression, general anxiety and worry, panic attacks, social anxiety, traumatic memories, obsessive compulsive disorder and adjustment to living with a long term physical health condition. We offer treatments in the form of courses via groups, webinars, or telephone and if appropriate, further treatments within GP surgeries, community hospitals and other community venues across the county.
